Volunteers of America Founder's Week Celebrated Nation Wide

Volunteers of America’s Founders Week will take place starting on Monday, March 8th and last through the week. 114 years ago on March 8th, Maud and Ballington Booth established Volunteers of America based on a mission of helping those most in need. This mission continues to this day in nearly 40 affiliates nationwide.

Through hundreds of human service programs, including housing and healthcare, Volunteers of America helps more than 2 million people in over 400 communities. Since 1896, our ministry of service has supported and empowered America’s most vulnerable groups, including the frail elderly, homeless individuals and families, people with disabilities, and more. Our work touches the mind, body, heart – and ultimately the spirit – of those we serve, integrating our deep compassion with highly effective programs and services.

Thank you to those involved in the work Volunteers of America does right here in the Greater Milwaukee Region. Please know you are part of a much larger effort to make a unique and positive impact on some of the most underserved populations in the United States.
