Volunteer
Everyone has a talent and a unique perspective and when shared with those in need, it helps to foster positive effects in their community, creating a new dimension in their own lives and the lives they touch.
We need individuals and groups to be our community partners working with us to brighten the lives of the people we serve. The Volunteer Opportunities listed below are generally available. However, if you have a special talent not listed that you would like to share, please talk to us. If you would like to volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Application and return to us, or call 414-847-1515 Ext. 5. We must run a background check on all volunteers.
Volunteer Opportunities
Administrative Assistance – Assist with filing, duplicating, data entry, and other projects in office.
Adopt a Home – Groups can adopt a group home in your community and assist with seasonal parties, celebrate resident birthdays, or assist with home improvements.
Arts/Crafts/Activities Assistance – Assist with activities in the group homes that might include bingo, puzzles, and arts and craft projects.
Beautification Crew - Ideal for groups or Eagle Scouts to help with spring or fall cleanup, painting, household repairs, or landscaping projects.
Event Volunteer – Help in planning and running our annual fundraising event to support our programs and services.
Marketing/ Graphic Arts Volunteer – Assist with marketing events, communications, annual reports or designing informational materials, announcements, and invitations.
Musician/Vocalist – Share your musical talent to entertain residents.
Pet Therapist – Visit older adults, adults with disabilities and mental illness and bring happiness and the love of a pet.
Plan Your Own Fundraiser – Plan a carwash, pancake breakfast, casual Fridays in the office, golf outing, bowl-a-thon or other event to raise much needed funds to support our programs and services.
Plan Your Own Wishlist Drive - Our group homes and residents need personal hygiene, laundry, cleaning and paper supplies.
Social Media Volunteer - Help us stay in touch, spread the news about who we are, and share the stories of the lives we touch.
